Reminiscing...

Early in the year, Lilah brought in a bucket of sunflowers -one for everyone in the class.  The flowers served as an inspiration for our first pastel of the year.  They were so beautiful we left them up all year.

The following are a few samples of student work.

In October, we placed in the pumpkin decorating contest for scariest pumpkin, which I brought home for Halloween since nobody else claimed it.

OUR FINALE!

A BITTERSWEET GOODBYE

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed teaching this group of students this year.  I enjoyed coming to school everyday.  This fine group of young people are a credit to their families and to our school.  I feel most privileged to have spent the past 10 months with them.  Thank you for sharing your children with me.  Although I will miss them, I am excited for them to move on to their second year of the EFSL programme!

THE FINAL CURTAIN...

Back in September or early October, Adrian had asked me if we could do a flash mob a few days before the assembly.  With such short notice, I convinced him that a later date would be a better choice.  However, the end of year crept up on us so fast that here we were, the final week, and we had not yet put together our flash mob.  The students were so keen that they practised about 2 hours per day to ready themselves for the final assembly - we discovered that Grade 5 is not too young for deodorant!  Boy did they work up a sweat!  With perseverance and determination, they pulled it together!  Congratulations on a very successful, wonderful interruption, to today's assembly!  Grade 5, you ROCK!

FLASH MOB!  Difficult to see how well they performed in a picture..

Mme Thompson will always be our Dancing Queen!

AU RESTO!  Les élèves ont écrit et présenté des pièce sur au thème du restaurant.

This meal did not end well...

The last farewell...

We must say goodbye to two wonderful colleagues and teachers.  You have touched the hearts and inspired many.  Happy retirement Mrs. Woodhouse and Mrs Campbell-Sheen!  You will be missed.

So happy to see students making good use of their lessons and daily work!  Enjoy your summer!  Thank you for sending me our closing photo and sharing your annual ritual with me!
